One of my favorite venues in Paris is Institut Suédois, in the Marais. I love the atmosphere of the place, the warmth of the people and the coffee shop with its homemade cakes.
In the summer, the Swedish institute opens its beautiful garden and a multilingual library where one can borrow a book and a deckchair. There is actually quite a large selection of books, both for adults and children.
This year, there is also a temporary exhibition in the large room of the main building (on the ground floor). It's an exhibition of the contemporary art Swedish School of Paris, featuring Swedish artists living in Paris and coming from different universes and different generations. About twenty of them will be present at different times during the summer to present their work and artistic approach to the public. All the dates are on the website of Institut Suédois.
And if you fancy a sweetness, a cold drink or an ice-cream, the Café Hej! set in a food truck parked at one corner of the garden, sells all this.
