Because I pay a lot of attention to what I eat, when it comes to eating out, I try to go to places where the food is fresh and homemade. I must admit that I am very often disappointed either by the quality, and/or by the service, but not today, at Geronimi's.
Geronimi is a little cute venue, a few steps away from the Luxembourg gardens and Saint-Sulpice Church, which happens to be an ice cream parlour 🍧 But at lunchtime, they serve simple savory dishes, which are rather nice. The particularity is that each savory dish comes with a scoop of ice cream 🍨. I had some scramble eggs 🥚 (I know it's not vegan but they didn't have any vegan dishes). It was served with some veggies and a scoop of Nepal pepper sorbet, which did go very well with it.
The founder, Pierre Gironimi, likes to play with flavors and there are very interesting one on the menu, such as Champagne or fresh grass 🌿
During the warm days, it's very pleasant to come for an ice cream and enjoy it on their lovely sunny and quiet terrace. It's located in a very quiet street, just opposite the wall with the famous poem The Drunken boat, by Arthur Rimbaud.
