Today, the weather was not very nice. It was cold with a lot of winter showers. The perfect weather to go and see an exhibition. And that's exactly what I did. I went to the Picasso Museum to see their current temporary exhibition entitled "Picasso, 1932".
Indeed, the installation follows Picasso in his day-to-day creative process and life during one whole year, the year 1932, in a strict chronological way. For instance, the journey reveals the prodigious creative push of the beginning of the year until April. During this first term, Picasso prepared an exhibition at Galerie Georges Petit in Paris; he worked very hard because he wanted to prove that he was the greatest painter of his time. Between January 2nd and March 14, Picasso painted 25 paintings of unbridled eroticism.
I was surprised by the number of artworks Picasso manage to create during one year. One of my favorite paintings was "The girl before a mirror". The colors are just fantastic.
Do I recommend this exhibition? Yes! Definitely. Some paintings are absolutely amazing.
