Whale washed up on banks Seine River

It was quite a shock today when, walking little Jude, I noticed a whale, washed up on the banks of the Seine River, at the bottom of Pont des Tournelles

At first, I honestly thought the cetacean was lying dead. It looked so real! It's only when I got closer to it that I understood it was fake. It actually was a huge 20 meters long sculpture brought there by Belgian artist's collective, Captain Boomer, in order to raise Parisian's environmental awareness.

It can be a good idea to remind people our fragile and endangered our environment is. The preservation of our planet is a major cause and each and every one of us should be concerned. Last winter I was so sad learning that a whale had been found dead with more than 30 plastic bags in her stomach, in Norway.
