Musée Fragonard Paris

Today, as I was near in the Opera district, I went to visit the brand new Fragonard Musée du Parfum.

The museum offers free guided tours all day long. It's a fantastic opportunity to discover the different manufacturing stages of perfume from picking the flowers to distillation and bottling. The guide explains everything about perfume from the process of creation to the trade of nose. I found out that it's a very special profession, with fewer than 500 "noses" in the whole world.

I very much enjoyed the extraordinary collection of ancient bottles which tell the story of perfume from the Ancient Egypt up to the XXIst century.  Everything is to tiny and precious.

The museum is located is a cute paved passage, just 2 minutes away from Opera Garnier. If you are in the area, do stop by.
