If you have the chance to be in Paris until January 14th, rush to Notre-Dame to see the fabulous vast Chancel carpet, one of the cathedral's least-known treasures.
The masterpiece was woven from 1825 to 1833 in the workshops of the famous Manufacture de la Savonnerie carpet factory, in Paris. The carpet is extraordinary by its colours and its dimension: nearly 200sqm. It's one - if not the - of the most remarkable pieces to have been produced by the Savonnerie.
And at this time of the year the cathedral is even nicer with all the festive decoration.
The entrance is free, so if you pass by, just pop in; you won't regret it.
Until January 14th (except on the 8th)
