AI WEIWEI

As I do like art very much, I try to go and see exhibitions as much as I can.

Today, I went to the Bon Marché Rive Gauche, to see Ai Weiwei's first exhibition in France. The Chinese artist chose the smart department store to show his fabulous and monumental work.

I must admit that I was really impressed by the special atmosphere that Ai Weiwei's creations bring to the place. It's pure and beautiful. I didn't expect to feel so calmed down at the view of his pieces of art.

I do recommend this unique installation.

Until March 15th, 2016

Paris Deco Off 2016

I had such a good time, today, during my lunch break as I went to see the installations set in and around rue de Furstenberg, in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, for the Paris Deco Off event.

I was pretty lucky because I went without knowing it was the last day of the event (it took place between January 21st and January 25th) and the weather was absolutely fantastic: blue sky and warm temperatures. Just perfect to walk around and admire the illuminations showcasing the linen lanterns of Masters of Linen and the lovely windows of the different decoration editors and interior designers who have their showrooms in these cute little streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Everything was so colourful and smart. I just loved it. Here are some pictures I took for you.

13 a baker's dozen

Today I had lunch at in a lovely coffee shop called 13 a baker's dozen, near Saint-Germain-des-Prés and I just loved it.

As soon as I entered the coffee shop, located a the back of a lovely courtyard, I was welcomed, in English or rather in American, by Laurel, the charming owner of the place. And I felt at ease right away.

The place is not very big but very friendly. The kitchen is open and we can see the cook working and preparing the plates. I had a very tasty veg. kale salad and a fresh fruit juice. Everything was nice and fresh and very nicely accomodated. Laurel brought us some divine pastries to accompany our dishes; it was just yummy.

I warmly recommend this coffee shop. Everything is there: healthy organic food, lovely taste, nice atmosphere. And the place is just so cute.
