Bruno Barbey at the MEP

As you might have noticed, I haven't been blogging lately. I was too shocked after the terrible terror attacks which occured in Paris two weeks ago. I was left with a bitter taste of disbelief. I felt terribly sad and angry. But life must go on.

So today, I decided to go out and see a photo exhibition. Every year, in November, Paris welcomes the "Photo's month" (mois de la photographie); man venues present photo exhibitions all over the French capital and for people like me, who love this art, it's just fantastic.

So today, I went to the MEP (Maison Européenne de la Photographie) and I spent a great time looking at the work of Bruno Barbey and Stéphane Couturier.

Until January 17th, 2016
5 rue de Fourcy - 75004 Paris. Wednesdays to Sundays. 11am - 7:30pm.

GL Xmas tree

Today was a bank holiday in France. As I was off, I decided to go to Galeries Lafayette to see their 2015 Christmas tree. Every year around this time,  I rush to the department store to take a look at their majestic tree. To me, it's the most beautiful in town and this year, was no exception.

The tree is absolutely gorgeous with its golden colours. The idea was to make a cosmic sculpture full of shining stars gravitating around it. It's magical, colourful, glittering and I loved it. Let me show you ;-)

Exhibition at Institut Suedois

Here are a few pictures I took today at the Swedish institute of Paris

Until April 10th, 2016 (that gives you plenty of time to go there), the Institut Suédois is presenting 12 rugs handmade during 12 months  by the swedish designers Katarina Brieditis et Katarina Evans using 12 different artisanal techniques. And I think the result is pretty good.

I really like the idea that the rugs are made out of recycled materials. The exhibition shows the importance of design in the process of recycling. And I thing it's pretty cool.

Hôtel de Marle - 11 rue Payenne - 75003 Paris
Tuesday to Sunday - 12am to 6pm

Quai Conti

Today, November 1st, we had such a nice weather here in Paris. It was sunny and warm. Everyone was out with a smile on. It was just so pleasant! I loved it. The only drawback is that there were too many people by the river on the sunny right banks. So, Jude and I decided to cross the river and walk on the left banks, Quai de Conti. Ok, it wasn't as sunny but it was gorgeous. Here are a few pictures I took for you. Enjoy. XOXO
