Charming place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine

Tonight, I walked little Jude place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine, near place des Vosges, a charming little square with restaurants around it (just as a reminder "place" in French means "square").

Place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine takes its name from a market installed on the site of the former priory of Sainte-Catherine-du-Val-des-Ecoliers, in 1784. The square is surrounded by 18th century buildings and in the middle, there is an embankment planted with mulberry bushes. The square is nice and quiet. The perfect venue to enjoy a drink or a meal at one of the numerous restaurant terraces. BDJ cafe is known to offer the best food and to be the most friendly.
