Louis Vuitton at Grand Palais
Back from my holidays in Antibes where I celebrated Christmas with my family, I rushed to the Grand Palais to see the exhibition dedicated to the famous house, Louis Vuitton. I have always been a huge fan of Louis Vuitton and I was looking forward it.
As Olivier Saillard, the curator explained, the exhibition is a major restrospective about the history of Louis Vuitton, from its creation, in the 18th century until now. The installation shows both historical and contemporary pieces. It's divided into chapters related to the history of Louis Vuitton (motocars, yatching, trains) and new chapters such as writing, perfume, mensware. According to me, it's a great idea; I totally ignored that Louis Vuitton had also played a part in these fields.
There is so much to see! I just couldn't imagine so many different trunks had been created. It was really interesting. I had a great time.
