Café Le Nemours

©Esther à Paris

Today, I was meeting a good friend of mine for lunch. As we were in the Tuileries gardens and as my friend was craving for a croque monsieur, I offered to go to the Le Nemours café, at Palais Royal.

Le Nemours is a lovely brasserie where the food (and espacially the croque-monsieur) is good and the staff lovely and helpful (which is pretty rare in French cafés). I ordered a veg croque and the best apple tart I ever had.

In the summer, I love sitting at the terrace of this café, on the plaza, opposite the Comédie Française. On the contrary, in the winter when it's cold outside, I prefer to seat inside, in the typical french café atmosphere.

My advice : If you come to Paris and wish to eat a proper croque-monsieur in a proper café, I highly  recommend  this place.
